LTCs - The newest

Here are my newest two Letterbox Trading Cards. They are created by stamping a hand carved image onto the card and decorating it how you see fit.

The first card is for a Mary Poppin's swap called Practically Perfect in Every Way. I call the card "A Spoonful of Sugar". I stamped the image in silver ink, then put a dab of Elmer's glue in the spoon and poured on the sugar! I love the way it turned out!

The second card is for a Wizard of Oz swap called Yellow Brick Road. This card is Emerald City. I stamped it in green, shaded it with a darker green blending chalk, then added the emeralds and brushed the gold ink around the edges.

My next feat is for "My Favorite Board Game" swap. I signed up to make a card representing the game of Monopoly...

Swap Bot

I joined my first swap today on Swap-Bot.com...

Check it out! You go on and create a profile, and then you trade crafty stuff! You can trade completed projects, postcards, or just crafting supplies. There are all sorts of different types of swaps, from crafts to clothes and toys. www.swap-bot.com

It is an international swap of pictures from cemeteries. I think I am going to go to Greenwood and take a picture of Chief Garry's headstone, and some of the other amazing features of that cemetery. I will probably also do a picture of the Thousand Steps! I am eager to see what I get in return.

I also created two more LTCs today! They are for the Practically Perfect in Every Way and Yellow Brick Road trackers. I will post pictures of my LTCs soon :)

Happy Birthday to Me!

Wow! I sure had a busy weekend with my birthday party and the airshow!

This year I turned 29 (for the first time). Next year I plan on repeating 29. I find it funny how as you age, your wish list becomes modified. Instead of asking for toys or fun stuff to play with, this year I asked for window screens for my house! I guess it just shows that eventually we all grow up at least a little.

One of my favorite gifts is the book Weird Washington. It has all sorts of interesting places and stories about our great state! The only downside to the book is that I don't have the funds to go on all of these road trips this summer... But I can guarantee that I will be planning those trips as soon as I can!

My First Blog

Here we go... I keep saying I'm going to do one of these things. I read a really funny one today that was pretty simple, and not a book of someone's life. While I don't promise this one won't be the book of my life, I will do my best to keep it short and simple. Enjoy!
